Stud-ify

I have these pair of boring black suede summer flip flops, that are really comfortable although they look a little outdated and boring. So I went to the craft store and bought stud buttons. I hand sew these studs on, and my fingers are so numb after studifying the right shoe, since it is so difficult to push a pin through thick suede.  I have worked up bucket amounts of sweat and I think I'm done for tonight. Going to rest my little throbbing phalanges tonight. But I can't wait to finish the other shoe, so I can rock them out!

Ps. The dark sporadic circles you see are failed attempt at glueing down circular studs. They were falling off as I walked. I peeled the remaining off and rubbed alcohol on the hard white glue. The glue has faded, and it doesnt look as visible in real life.

Comfort can be Chic

I wore my new favourite pair of nude jelly wedges today, just to do some errands.
I wanted to be comfortable running around, but still look presentable.
Since its a public holiday, I thought I should make some effort, since I'm always in my fleecy PJ's trousers and t shirt these days, at home drowning in work.
The wedge is the perfect height, since its not too tall, that I need to crawl to the next destination and tall enough to give me some height.
The nude colour matches my skin tone perfectly, giving the illusion that I've got long legs.
From afar, it even looks like I don't have shoes on sometimes, since its so close to my skin colour. :P  I'm in love with the floral cut out pattern it has all over the shoe. I'm really looking forward to wearing these in the summer, since it will keep my feet dry because of the cut out pattern, even though its made from the plastic material.

My First Entry

Let me introduce myself, Im Saphire Drops, its lovely to meet you.
I will be posting events from my life, DIY projects, fashion and anything I think will tickle your fancy.

I'm so excited about this blog. I've always been inspired by other bloggers and I hope that I can stur up the same excitment as other bloggers have with me.

So for my first blog, I just want to rave about these baby pink platforms I got at a boutique. They instantly caught my eye. They are extremely comfortable as the heel to the ball of the feet height difference isn't too significant. I probably got it in a size too big for me though, since when I walk, the heel of the shoe comes away from my feet, giving me the Cinderella (lost shoe) effect. However, with the right heel cushions, I was about to roam free, without the fear of losing my shoes. I wore them to a dinner buffet at the Conrad. I had no problems collecting as much food from the buffet as I can. I teamed these beauties with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, rosy gold metallic flowy top and a white blazer.

Much love
